DUBAI: Tickets for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final in Dubai were sold out within 40 minutes of going live, as over 100,000 cricket fans rushed online in a bid to secure their seats for the much-anticipated showdown featuring India.
According to organisers, the tickets became available on the official platform at 10 PM UAE time, with prices ranging from Dh250 for General Admission to Dh12,000 for the premium Sky Box experience. However, by 10:40 PM, all categories were completely booked.
Fans attempting to buy tickets were placed in an online queue and given a 10-minute window to complete their purchase. However, due to the overwhelming demand, tickets disappeared within moments, with many left empty-handed.
While online tickets are officially sold out, organisers have hinted that a limited number of physical tickets may be released at the Box Office in the coming days, offering one last chance for fans to grab a seat at the stadium.
India secures Final spot
India cemented their place in the final after a thrilling semi-final victory over Australia, with Virat Kohli delivering a standout performance. The Men in Blue, aiming for their third ICC Champions Trophy title, will now face the winner of the New Zealand vs South Africa semi-final, scheduled for Wednesday in Lahore.
South Africa, still chasing their first ICC trophy since 1998, will look to break their title drought. Meanwhile, New Zealand, who previously clinched the Champions Trophy in 2000, will aim to repeat history.
As anticipation builds, the cricketing world now awaits the second semi-final to determine who will challenge India for the prestigious title in Dubai.
The final showdown is set to take place at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, 9 March, promising an electrifying contest.
